Tunisia’s National Guard is confirmed to be operating Bell 429 Global Rangers, with three examples seen at the El Aouina heliport in Tunis during a visit by Interior Minister Hichem Fourati at the beginning of September.
The three Bell 429s (TS-QGA, msn 57293, TS-QGB, msn 57294 and TS-QGC, msn 57295) were ordered in 2016 and delivered early the following year.
Celebrating the 62nd anniversary of the National Guard, Fourati said its aircraft would be integrated into an autonomous aviation unit. Fourati also said the helicopters will be used for transport, evacuation and surveillance.
