DDA Classic Airlines to Fly Passengers in Douglas DC-3 for Flying Legends Weekend
DDA Classic Airlines from the Netherlands will be flying passengers from Cambridge in Douglas DC-3 PH-PBA over the weekend of the Flying Legends airshow at nearby Duxford, on July 11 and 12.
The company will be bringing passengers over for the event, but is also planning several local flights which will be open to members and non-members alike. Last year DDA received a full AOC (Air Operator Certificate), making these kind of passenger flights possible. The aircraft was built in 1944 as a USAAF C-47A Skytrain and has a remarkable history. It operated from Cottesmore during World War Two, and participated in D-Day plus Operations Market Garden and Varsity. For more information see: www.dutchdakota.nl/en/book-flight/
