Is this PMDG’s masterpiece?
Previously, we reviewed the May 2022 release of PMDG’s 737-700 for Microsoft Flight Simulator (MSFS). The -700 was its second release for the popular platform following its vintage Douglas DC-6 the year before and was to be the first iteration in a series of releases covering the iconic family of narrow-body Boeing jets.

PMDG has subsequently released the 737-600 in July 2022, 737-800 in August 2022 and finally the 737-900 in February 2023. While all four versions of the airliner are available as individual product purchases directly from the PMDG website, the -700 is the only one to have made it to the MSFS Marketplace as of the time of writing. Those of us who’ve been around for a little while will fondly recall PMDG’s Boeing 737-800 and 900 NGXu package for Prepar3D v4/5 which in its day was considered to be right at the upper echelon in what was capable in-home flight simulation. This package was in fact a rebuild of the developer’s Boeing 737-800/900 NG add-on for FS2004 that was released all the way back in 2003.
